Effective job search strategies are continuously changing; we will show you the most up-to-date techniques to get you working.  Brainstorming ideas with a counsellor and getting feedback is an effective tool for every job seeker.

Discover your skills / set new goals.  We will help you explore your options based on your skills and abilities, as well as what is happening in the job market.

Get up-to-date information on occupations, education and training opportunities including apprenticeships. Do you need to upgrade your skills or need additional training to be competitive in today's job market? Talk with a counsellor to explore your options.

Understand how to make a good impression. Learn what employers are looking for and how to best sell your individual attributes. Nervous at interviews?  This is your time to shine – let us help prepare you so that your next interview is a success.

Employers are our clients too.  And after 35 years of working with employers in the community, we have developed partnerships that benefit both our clients and our employers.  We offer a wage incentive for eligible clients who need help getting their foot in the door.  Talk to your counsellor to see if this is an option for you.

Certifications
Get your WHMIS Smart Serve or Excellence in Customer Service certificates. We offer this training in either a workshop or on an individual basis.  Get an edge on the competition and include these certificates on your resume!

Information Sessions
Our 'Ace the Interview' and 'Maximize Your Job Search' sessions allow job seekers of all experience levels to interact and learn from each other in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.  Just need a refresher or don’t know where to begin?  Give us a call or talk to a counsellor.

Employers sometimes ask strange questions and use off-the-wall techniques to interview potential employees.  At Ace the Interview, we talk about the good, the bad and the down-right ugly types of interviews and the experiences we have all had.
